Gulf Coast Business Council

The Gulf Coast Business Council is a 501(c)(6) organization, governed by a Board of Directors and an Executive Committee. Our general membership consists of the lead decision-makers of companies doing business on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  The Council engages organizations and associations, private business and key stakeholders whose missions are aligned with that of the Business Council.  Membership in the Gulf Coast Business Council is limited to the top, full-time director or operating manager in the organization.

Program of Work

The Gulf Coast Business Council champions common economic and business interests of the Mississippi Gulf Coast through a variety of activities, including identifying emerging issues, convening resources, framing public policy and developing transformational solutions for the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Gulf Coast Economic Indicators Project

This report is a product of the partnership between the Gulf Coast Business Council and The University of Southern Mississippi’s Trent Lott National Center for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship, which was commissioned to design a report of regional macro-economic indicators gauging the health of the overall coastal economy to create an atmosphere of cooperation in setting priorities for improving the economy through data-driven decision making.
